A dear teacher left the school today. It was a sudden thing, teachers are confused, children are too.
As the teacher left the door, I picked up a child and told her, "Teacher Carol is going back to her house and will not stay in the school anymore."
The child replied seriously, "Yea. (nod) Take the bag and go to the house."
I guess the child is used to hearing us tell her "Go get your bag and go home" whenever the parents are here to pick her up.
