She said I look fairer.
First thing that jumped to mind was, "Gosh I need to go check with the mirror when I'm back. I haven't really seen myself in the mirror for quite some time!" (Which I have forgot to check)
I don't quite know what expression or reaction I gave her, but she quickly added, "Oh that doesn't sound too much like a compliment."
I think I had thought about this when I was about to start work 3 weeks ago. Being all day indoors, the only time I'm outdoors is when I'm driving, which is when the sun is barely up and when the sun is setting down low. Gosh.
I am deciding now that I should not be upset over this, nor I shall go bake myself under the crazy Malaysian sun, because I've told myself that I will learn to like my skin color no matter what it is. Sigh.
