My teacher took one semester to teach me level 1: alphabets, basic sentence structures, particles etc.
I took 1 semester to teach...
nothing.
My students can't even recognize all the alphabets yet, let alone read.
I think the only sentence they know by heart is "I love you".
That's what everyone knows even without having to learn from me. Gah.
