Shades

It was off day and guess what, no surprise we went shopping.
But this time it's really shopping, not getting groceries.

Managed to get some clothing & souvenirs
And when we walked to Walmart it was pretty late already.
Anyways let me present to you the greatest invention of all times (or maybe not)
A clip-on shade that doesn't need magnets!
I know the face is rounded in shape but let's focus on the black piece of plastic on the face.
See, now I have shades!
It's not cheap, but it's something I've really wanted for a very long time.
Lizzy said I was exaggerating, but who cares what she says? LOL

Jo, you want?

Heater, as if the sun alone is not enough

we just came back from Tanya's room watching Twilight.
Edward Cullen was really... too mushy. LOL
Tanya's room has air conditioner!
My goodness, and her bedSS were SOOOoooOO nice
and her room has air conditioner!!
It's officially summer now and it's burning the hell out of me
and her room has air conditioner!
Do you know what my room has?
HEATER!

Anyways, I think I'm still sane
cuz someone still keep turning on their heater these days..

Priority

I understand that people set different priorities.
But I can't understand why people put things that seems silly to me in first.

I'm sorry if it offends
but I'm not going to wait for you to do your silly things
and hold me back
make me lose things that are important to me.

I've had it once
I've had it twice
And I've had enough.

Sorry girl,
I understand you have difference priorities
so I hope you can understand mine too.

Dirty Facts

= A bird pooped on me yesterday
I yelled, "It smells!" and it made Mackenzie's day. *roll eyes*

= A boy peed when he was driving the bumper cars
I was so glad that I don't have to clean it
until yesterday I had to help out
and learned that I might have to clean mess from now on

= 2 days ago I farted and made a cute Mario jumping sound
I don't think those 2 who were eating with me heard it

= A child got pooped on while riding a ride.
Another child on the ride almost puked.

= I am a bad influence to Lizzy.
She's starting to not wash hands before meals.

Special Olympics Ohio

It's only next week.
If I try real hard I might get days off,
though it's not 2 weeks in advance.
But then it's 200bucks just to travel to & fro.
I really wanted to go even if it costs that much.
At the end I gave up as it takes 5 to 9 hours to travel by train/bus.

I'm so near, yet so far.
Life is sad.
Such is life.
*frown* *curl lip*

One relaxin' Day, Finally

We've spent most of our days working, which means rushing to meet bus schedules, rushing to and back from break, rushing back home into the bathroom and then go to bed.
We've spent most of our off-days in the mart. Rushing up to the bus, rush to get as much food with least cost and then back to the bus again.

Today
it's a really relaxing day off
as I just slept through the morning
and bummed (and still bumming) through the afternoon.

It's almost evening now,
I'd sadly say I've 'wasted' the entire day doing almost nothing but watching kid shows on TV and waiting the internet to connect.

But it's been a peaceful day.
Not much of talking,
not much of rushing,
not much of complaining and panting.

오늘은 너무 기분 좋은 날.
날씨가 따뜻하고 집에 조용하고 마음이 정말 기뻐.
I'm loving it, this bumming around.
=)
And people back home, I'm sorry I never missed you guys.
But look on the bright side,
at least I've never forgotten you, yet.

For the Past Week

We had 2 consecutive crew nights. LOL
1 in Steak & ShakeAnd the other one we went bowling. (No pic in my cam)

I received another Cornerstone. X)

And have been eating this for weeks as if it's the best food on earth.

Yesterday was the Hot Dog Roast event. =)
Many people were there, so was Stella, Lizzy, Mary & me who were off.
The food was super-duper-yummilicious~
Jeng tried to 'protect' his sausage... -.-lll
We met a lot of Kiddy Kingdom people when we were there.
Gabriela, Petya, Lizzy & I
Lizzy, Me, Randi & Gabriela
Then when we were about to leave we saw Siew Ooi
Actually we saw Dismas first, but refused to stay and accompany him eat. LOL
The weather was super cold.
It was raining and the wind was so strong (kind of) and we were eating by the beach. LOL!
Nonetheless I had 3 and a 1/2 cup of ice-creams just because they're so delicious~~!!
Then the 4 of us went to the park & went on rides before it started to drizzle again.

KLPT result released!

If you haven't updated yourself about what KLPT means, most probably you're fairly new to this blog. LOL
Anyways, once again, it means Korean Language Proficiency Test.
But then again, its name has changed. But I like KLPT better than the new name so we'll just use it.

Anyways, it's OUT!I've got 387 over400, with an average of 96.75/100.
Not too bad, but I wished I can see the individual marks for each section, which will be later mailed to home.
Curiosity kills the cat *roll eyes*

From then till Now

That day I just arrived at KLIA
we met and we left.
Transit in Japan for 10 hours, this is Lizzy & SweeMun in deep sleep. In the airport.
And had Japanese noodles

We arrived finally after more than a day traveling. This is our new home. (Or so we thought)
We go into the park in excitement to process in, and waited in the line with the cold wind by the lake.
Then came Siew Ooi.
Then we moved into the apartment. We cleaned loads of bird poops everyday before training, all thanks to these seagulls who poop every single day!OMG @!#$%@^%$#!!The strawberries here are just huge. There's a McD within walking distance from our apartment
And the walk is just peaceful and scenic, except when the cold wind blows, you'd feel like freezing and dying on the spot and not go to McD anymore.
And the restaurant has a really nice view of the lake. But you'd never want to eat outdoor although they have tables and seats in the spring cuz your fries will turn into cold potatoes while your drinks will turn into ice when the wind blows. Some days we cook. Haha, pre-packed food also need cooking ok?

Or toast bread or waffles then serve with peanut butter and jelly or ice-cream. Speaking of ice-creams....
We bought Hagen daaz and Ben&Jerry's
Then I had Breyers' mint with chocolate chips, which was cheap and fantastic.
Working is tiring. Sleeping in the cafeteria is never the first choice. But oh well, you'll have to do it once in a while.
Going on the rides gets you going.
This is Mantis, the roller coaster that you ride standing up. Awesomeness~
And from a certain angle, the coaster track looks like a dinosaur.
This is the display car for Topthrill Dragster. The roller coaster that sends up high up 420feet then back down in 90degrees in 120miles per hour. That's the track of the ride:

As the park is on a peninsular in Lake Erie, it's surrounded by beach. That kind of explains why it's so cold sometimes, I guess.

Some days we love to take crazy pictures just to entertain ourselves, and of course, you.
Here is Siew Ooi being too fat to fit on the test seat at the entrance of Millenium Force. And this is Lizzy & I 'selling' hot fries in front of Dragster.
There are so many rides in the park that will always get you going.
And this is of course not to miss Kiddy Kingdom, the place where I work. =)

This is Mary in her uniform which DOES NOT meet grooming guidelines.
This is Siew Ooi at work in her uniform which MEETS grooming guidelines. LOL
Random photos of rides & attractions that I'm now lazy to type captions to it:Another random weird photo:

And this is a photo with a bunch of work and travel students from Thailand, who headed back to their home country yesterday.
Lastly, if you need help,

2/5 Cornerstones

I was early to work today.
Alexis (our leader) was behaving not so much as usual and she said with her happy tone, "Khayshi, I've got a surprise for you today~"

Hmm, I wasn't quite sure whether to be happy or sad. LOL In fact I was really skeptical and got prepared for a bad surprise like cleaning something really nasty. LOL
Then she pulled out a piece of paper and say, "You've got 2 cornersones!"
(Cornerstones (5) are the building blocks of Cedar Point and the corner stone pin is the highest 'recognition' a seasonal employee can achieve)

I know what it is and never dreamt of even being near it, except the time when Chris handed me his to me to help me spell 'integrity' which I obviously know how to spell. *roll eyes*
Ha, I was like, so excited! Andrea gave it to me because I had a guest compliment!
Alexis said it's a 'special' cuz I got 2 at once~~~ Yippiee!
Well, this is another culture difference. I guess most times back home we just receive complaints complaints and lots of complaints. And when you serve the guests well, it's JUST doing your job. No one really gives much compliment.... So I got really 'paiseh' when Alexis told some other crew members which came in short while later. Gotta get used to it and love it. =)

-----

It rained slightly after park opens today.
I had 4 layers of clothing on (singlet, uniform, jacket & rainsuit) and still shiver standing under the ride's big umbrella.
The weather has warmed up a little for the past week, but more rain is coming for the next.
I like the rain, and hate it at the same time. It makes the weather more comfortable but makes work more difficult as I have to be either soaked in the rain or wear the rainsuit and feel suffocated.
Ya, now my body looks as fat as my face. XP

These days I wake up with my feet hurting. I guess it might be because of the long hours standing.
Lately I feel funny when I see my own hands when I buckle kids up in the car seat, because the color of the tan on my hand and the sweat on it makes my hands look like cookies.

-----

We had time to ride the rides these days becuase of our shifts. *hooray*
As we have rode the ones that are the best, others seem mild now....
I'm a ride warrior!
